General Mills Appoints Anjali Singh As Head Of Global Business Solutions, India Center Lead

General Mills recalled a Walmart bakery dough item due to possible glass contamination distributed to 19 states. The company said customers may not have lot codes because they are on bulk cases. General Mills reported fiscal Q4 net sales of $4.6B (+1%) and FY net sales of $18.4B (-5%), with North America Retail sales down 4% and operating profit down 20%.

General Mills is recalling more than 735,000 frozen Pillsbury bread rolls due to possible glass contamination, according to an FDA recall report. The FDA classified it as Class II on July 13. Affected items include Hard Roll Dough and Kaiser Roll Dough with specified lot numbers and “Better if Used by” dates in Oct. 2026, distributed across multiple states.

General Mills said the US consumer remains pressured and it does not expect category or consumer conditions to improve, citing changes like more promotion buying and value-focused trade-offs. After earnings, it reported EPS of 95 cents vs 80-cent consensus and revenue up 1% YoY, but guided FY2027 flat. It expects inflation 4–5% (oil ~$100) and highlighted strong pet/cat growth.

General Mills reported a Q4 $2B loss, mainly from non-cash items, while revenue rose 1% as North American shoppers bought smaller packs and more sale items. Its pet business was the only North America segment to grow, with pet product sales up 4%. The company plans $3B cost savings over four years and said it will focus innovation on protein and fiber; shares rose about 9%.

General Mills (GIS) shares rose about 6% to $36.74 after the company reported Q4 results above consensus and a fiscal 2027 outlook ahead of estimates. It posted 95 cents EPS on $4.61B revenue vs 82 cents on $4.60B. FY27 guidance: $3.00–$3.20 EPS on $18.15B–$18.52B revenue. The firm also outlined $3B cost savings through 2030 starting with $750M in FY27.

General Mills (NYSE:GIS) reported fiscal Q4 net sales of $4.610B (+1% y/y), slightly above consensus of $4.595B. Adjusted EPS was 95 cents, above the Street’s 80 cents. For FY2027, it expects organic sales from -1.5% to +0.5% and adjusted EPS of $3.00–$3.20 (vs $3.13 est). Analysts raised price targets after results.
