Nextpower Inc. (NXT): Submission of Matters to a Vote of Security Holders

Simply Wall St reports Nextpower (NXT) shares rose 13.9% after the company raised fiscal 2027 guidance. Nextpower increased 2027 revenue guidance to US$4.1–4.4 billion and GAAP net income to US$540–573 million, reiterated a US$500 million share repurchase authorization, and said it will continue focusing on acquisitions and organic investment.

The Trump administration announced a 15% tariff and minimum import prices for polysilicon derivatives, including silicon wafers, photovoltaic cells, and solar modules, to support the US solar supply chain. Analysts cited by BMO, Citi, Truist, BNP Paribas, and Barclays expect First Solar (FSLR) to benefit, with module prices potentially rising to the low to mid 40 cents per watt. Premarket: FSLR +4%, TAN +3%.

Next shares rose 6.1% to 15,710p after the company’s Q2 trading statement showed full-priced sales up 9.2% and led it to raise its full-year pretax profit outlook for a third time. Management targets pretax profit of £1.24 billion, up 7.3% and £25 million above prior guidance, citing UK summer weather and Middle East demand.

Nextpower (NXT) shares rose 8.6% to $98.44 in the first session after earnings. The company reported record Q1 fiscal 2027 revenue of $935.2m and net income of $165.4m, and management lifted full-year revenue and adjusted EPS guidance. Trailing net margin softened to 16.4% from 17.5%.

Nextpower said it completed its acquisition of power conversion assets from Zigor Corporation and its U.S. unit, Apex Power. The deal adds UL-certified central inverters for U.S. solar and storage, IEC-certified products for Europe, and engineering and supply chain capabilities in the U.S. and Spain. Financial terms were not disclosed. Nextpower targets over 10 GW capacity within 12 months and higher deliveries in early 2027.
