Agomab Therapeutics doses first patient in global Phase 2b NOV‑ERA trial for fibrostenosing Crohn’s disease

Agomab Therapeutics NV announced that the first patient was dosed on Oct 13 2026 in its global Phase 2b NOV‑ERA trial of ontunisertib for symptomatic fibrostenosing Crohn’s disease. The double‑blind, placebo‑controlled study will enroll about 320 adults worldwide and will treat patients for 52 weeks, with the primary endpoint of endoscopic passability of the target ileal stricture at Week 24. The trial’s start also triggers a €7 million milestone payment tied to Agomab’s 2021 acquisition of Origo Biopharma.

The €7 million milestone improves Agomab’s near‑term cash position, while the trial initiation moves the company toward a potential registrational pathway. Analysts at TipRanks maintain a Buy rating with a $28 price target for AGMB.
