Oracle adds Snowflake as a native service on its cloud platform

Oracle announced that Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud will be delivered as a first‑party offering on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Customers will be able to acquire, set up and run Snowflake through Oracle’s portal, with a single contract and unified pricing. Oracle will also allow the use of its Universal Credits to pay for Snowflake usage. Both CEOs highlighted the partnership as a way to give enterprises more flexibility for AI and data workloads.

The joint service removes the need for separate contracts and could increase Oracle’s cloud revenue as customers adopt Snowflake on OCI, according to the companies’ statements. It also lowers cross‑cloud data transfer costs, which may make the combined solution more attractive to enterprise buyers.
