Palisade Bio starts Phase 2b testing of ulcerative colitis drug

Palisade Bio reported on October 28, 2026 that the first participant received PALI-2108 in ASCENTRA-UC, a Phase 2b study for moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis. The randomized trial is expected to include approximately 204 patients and will compare 15 mg and 30 mg once-daily doses with placebo. Initial 12-week efficacy data are expected in the fourth quarter of 2027, followed by a 36-week maintenance period for eligible participants.

The study start moves PALI-2108 into a larger controlled evaluation, with the next major readout scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027. The trial's outcome will determine whether the treatment's earlier signals can be reproduced in a broader patient population.
