Rocket Lab Shares Slide After Neutron Delay and KeyBanc Target Cut

Rocket Lab delayed the debut of its Neutron rocket to 2027 because of manufacturing issues, sending its shares down 10%. KeyBanc reduced its price target to $100 from $135 while retaining an Overweight rating. Rocket Lab’s second-quarter revenue increased 62% to $234M and its backlog grew 137% to $2.36B, but the stock later fell to $50.8, more than 66% below its yearly peak.

The delay could push out Neutron-related revenue and increase costs for Rocket Lab. KeyBanc’s lower target reflects reduced forecasts and valuation multiples after the launch setback, although the firm kept its Overweight rating.
