NTT DATA agrees to deploy Bloom fuel cells across global data centers

NTT DATA and Bloom Energy agreed on a 900 MW fuel-cell deployment for NTT data centers worldwide, with initial deliveries scheduled for 2027. NTT Global Data Centers will use Bloom systems as primary onsite power, and Bloom characterizes the project as its largest international undertaking. The announcement came as investors sold Bloom shares amid concerns that new U.S. policies could delay data-center construction.

The agreement gives Bloom an international data-center project that is less dependent on U.S. approval timelines and creates a path for expansion across NTT's global portfolio. RBC Capital's Christopher Dendrinos said Bloom's data-center exposure makes it vulnerable if development slows, while Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Alessio Mastrandrea said projects already underway may support near-term demand.
