Jefferies downgrades GlaxoSmithKline to Hold and cuts price target

Jefferies lowered its rating on GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) from Buy to Hold and reduced its target price to $55.90 from $67.40. The analyst cited a shift to limited earnings momentum, launch execution risk and fewer near‑term pipeline readouts. GSK’s shares fell about 1% to 1,814 pence after the downgrade, following a 4.8% drop on the day of its Q3 2026 results.

Jefferies said the reduced upside diminishes the near‑term catalyst profile, which could keep the stock under pressure despite the recent earnings beat. The lower target price may influence investors’ valuation expectations.
