Keurig Dr Pepper picks Russ Torres to run planned global coffee business

Keurig Dr Pepper appointed Russ Torres to lead its Coffee Operating Unit and, after the planned separation, the future Global Coffee Co. Torres is due to start on November 3, 2026, from Kimberly-Clark, where he is President and Chief Operating Officer. He will oversee the combination of Keurig Dr Pepper's and JDE Peet's coffee operations before the separation targeted for early 2027.

The appointment assigns a leader for the coffee business ahead of its planned separation from Keurig Dr Pepper's beverage operations. The company says the future coffee company is expected to produce approximately $16 billion of yearly revenue and have more than 25,000 employees.
