Climb Bio presents early Phase 2 data for budoprutug in primary membranous nephropathy and minimal change disease

Climb Bio disclosed interim results from its Phase 2 PrisMN trial of budoprutug, an anti‑CD19 antibody, at the ASN Kidney Week conference on Oct. 24, 2026. The 200 mg cohort showed B‑cell depletion, a 70% mean reduction in PLA2R antibodies and immunologic remission in 5 of 13 patients, while the 600 mg cohort achieved deeper B‑cell suppression. A separate case study reported a patient with minimal change disease achieving three‑year steroid‑free remission after a 100 mg dose. The company said additional data are expected in 2027.

The early immunologic signals suggest budoprutug may address an unmet need in primary membranous nephropathy, a disease with no FDA‑approved therapies, potentially de‑risking later trial phases (the company expects more data in 2027). Investors will watch for further efficacy and safety readouts that could influence the company’s valuation.

  • 1The data were presented at the American Society of Nephrology Kidney Week in Denver on Oct. 24, 2026.
  • 2The Phase 2 PrisMN trial evaluates budoprutug at 200 mg, 600 mg and 1,000 mg doses.
  • 3At Week 12, the 200 mg cohort showed a mean PLA2R antibody reduction of 70% and immunologic remission in 5 of 13 patients.
  • 4Patients with baseline PLA2R antibody <175 RU/mL experienced an 80% mean reduction.
  • 5Mean peripheral CD20+ B‑cell suppression at Week 4 was 74% for 200 mg and 98% for 600 mg.
  • 6Both 200 mg and 600 mg doses were generally well tolerated with no treatment‑related serious adverse events.
