Isabella Bank posts record third-quarter earnings as acquisition nears closing

On October 29, Isabella Bank Corporation disclosed third-quarter 2026 net income of $6.6 million, equivalent to $0.86 per diluted share, versus $5.2 million and $0.71 per diluted share in the comparable 2025 quarter. Net interest margin on a fully tax-equivalent basis reached 3.71%, compared with 3.15% in the year-earlier quarter. Isabella said regulatory and shareholder clearances are complete for its Grand River Commerce and Grand River Bank transaction, with completion targeted for November 2, 2026, subject to remaining customary requirements.

The release provides investors with stronger quarterly earnings and shows the Grand River transaction has advanced to the closing stage. Isabella says the deal will broaden its customer base and presence in West Michigan, while merger-related costs reduced third-quarter profit.
