Hexcel posts Q3 sales growth, reaffirms outlook and lifts buyback authorization

Hexcel reported third-quarter 2026 net sales of $496 million, up 8.8% on a reported basis from a year earlier, while constant-currency sales growth was 9.2%. GAAP diluted EPS was $0.26 versus $0.50 in Q3 2025, while adjusted diluted EPS was reported at $0.50. Commercial aerospace sales increased 20.5% on a reported basis, offsetting an 8.7% reported decline in Defense, Space & Other sales. Hexcel reaffirmed its 2026 outlook and raised its total share-repurchase authorization to $750 million.

The revenue shortfall versus estimates led to a reported decline in Hexcel shares despite adjusted earnings growth. Investors now have increased repurchase capacity, but the quarter showed a wider gap between strong commercial-aerospace demand and weaker defense and space sales.
