Biohaven signs exclusive Asian licensing deal with Ono Pharma for IgG degrader portfolio

Biohaven Ltd. entered an exclusive licensing agreement with Japan's Ono Pharmaceutical to develop and commercialize its MoDE IgG degrader portfolio, including lead candidate BHV-1300, in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and ASEAN countries. Under the deal, Ono will pay $80 million upfront and a $20 million milestone payment expected within a year, plus roughly 20 % royalties on net sales. Biohaven retains all rights to the portfolio outside the licensed territories.

The upfront cash provides non‑dilutive capital for Biohaven, while the royalty stream could add ongoing revenue if the products launch in Asia. The agreement also expands the geographic reach of BHV-1300, potentially accelerating its market entry in high‑growth Asian markets.
