Oracle reports New Mexico Project Jupiter contracting and workforce milestones

On October 23, Oracle said Project Jupiter had assigned more than $994 million in work to 30 New Mexico companies, with more than $160 million disbursed. The data-center project involves 1,230 New Mexico residents and has produced more than $100 million in state and county tax receipts, while Oracle projects more than $13 billion in lasting economic activity.

The contracts and payments create direct business for New Mexico suppliers and support employment tied to Oracle’s data-center buildout. The company’s longer-term tax, employment and economic projections depend on approval of the project’s air permit and pipeline.
