Google and Oracle sign multi‑billion‑dollar nuclear power purchase agreements

Google and Constellation Energy have sealed a 20‑year power purchase agreement that will fund $4.3 billion of upgrades at 11 nuclear units, adding 890 MW of capacity by 2032. Oracle will subscribe to output from NextEra Energy’s Point Beach plant, absorbing about $300 million of rising energy costs. Both deals aim to secure reliable, carbon‑free electricity for the tech companies’ expanding data centers.

The agreements lock in long‑term revenue for Constellation and NextEra, supporting the economic viability of existing nuclear assets. Investors in Google, Oracle, Constellation and NextEra may see stable cash flows from these contracts and exposure to growing demand for clean power for AI and data‑center workloads.
