Natera presents ctDNA data from VOLGA trial and 25 abstracts at ESMO 2026

Natera Inc. showcased its Signatera ctDNA assay at the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress 2026. The company presented results from the phase III VOLGA trial in muscle‑invasive bladder cancer, showing that ctDNA dynamics before radical cystectomy predict 24‑month event‑free survival. The data were part of 25 abstracts, including nine oral presentations, covering bladder, lung, endometrial, breast and other cancers.

The company says the findings support using Signatera to guide peri‑operative treatment decisions in bladder cancer, which could expand the assay’s clinical adoption. Investors should watch for any subsequent regulatory clearances or payer coverage announcements that could affect future revenue.

  • 1Natera’s technology was featured in 25 abstracts at the ESMO Congress 2026.
  • 2The abstracts included nine oral presentations.
  • 3In the VOLGA trial, patients who were persistently Signatera‑negative had a 24‑month event‑free survival rate of 91%.
  • 4Patients who cleared ctDNA before surgery had a 24‑month event‑free survival rate of 81% in the VOLGA trial.
  • 5Patients who remained Signatera‑positive had a 24‑month event‑free survival rate of 55% in the VOLGA trial.
