Samsung Bioepis and Teva sign up to $420 million U.S. biosimilar commercialization deal

Samsung Bioepis and Teva Pharmaceutical have entered a license and commercialization agreement for two FDA‑approved biosimilars, Renflexis (infliximab‑abda) and Eticovo (etanercept‑ykro). Samsung Bioepis will develop, manufacture and supply the products, while Teva will handle U.S. sales. The contract is valued at up to $420 million, comprising an upfront payment of up to $75 million, launch milestones of up to $75 million and sales‑based milestones of up to $270 million, and is expected to close by the end of 2026.

The agreement expands Teva's immunology portfolio and provides a new revenue stream from upfront and milestone payments, which the company expects to receive over the next three years. The deal also gives Samsung Bioepis a sizable U.S. commercial partner, potentially boosting its future sales of the two biosimilars.
