Vertical Data announces AI capacity LOI, Canadian deployment and Goldman Sachs mandate

Vertical Data said it signed a preliminary agreement with an unnamed global AI developer for dedicated GPU capacity in Western Europe. The proposed arrangement has some binding payment and deposit provisions, but completion still requires a definitive services agreement and several conditions. The company also disclosed a planned Canadian AI infrastructure project and hired Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC to advise on capital-markets strategy.

The proposed European contract and Canadian project do not establish guaranteed revenue for Vertical Data. The company said the European arrangement remains conditional, while revenue from the Canadian project depends on its contractual rights, deployment timing and delivery.

  • 1The proposed European deployment would use NVIDIA B300 GPU systems for a single customer at a data center in Western Europe.
  • 2Vertical Data said the letter of intent has binding capacity-payment and deposit provisions, while other commercial and delivery terms remain subject to negotiation.
  • 3The company said the letter of intent does not require either party to complete a final transaction.
  • 4Vertical Data said it arranged a Canadian AI infrastructure deployment with an AI infrastructure partner supporting a global cloud provider.
  • 5Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC was engaged as Vertical Data's sole adviser on capital-markets matters.
  • The AI developer, AI infrastructure partner and cloud-provider end customer were not identified.
  • The reported contract value appears as $192M in headlines and $192.1M in the descriptive materials.
  • The timing and amount of any revenue from the Canadian project were not disclosed and are contingent on contractual rights and deployment.
