Broadcom reportedly assembles $60 billion financing package for Anthropic AI chips

Broadcom's banking group is reportedly putting together $60 billion of financing to support AI chips and infrastructure for Anthropic and other customers. The reported package includes $42 billion of senior-secured debt and $18 billion of junior debt led by Blackstone. The transaction has not been formally announced, and Broadcom and Anthropic declined to comment.

The proposed funding would extend Broadcom's role from chip supplier into financing customer infrastructure. The companies' arrangement also concentrates Broadcom's exposure to Anthropic, which is both a major customer and a prospective borrower.
