FAA clears Boeing 737 MAX 10 for passenger operations

The FAA has cleared Boeing’s 737 MAX 10 for passenger service, enabling deliveries after years of reviews and delays. Boeing said the certification program involved nearly 1,000 test flights, while the aircraft has 1,555 orders from more than 30 customers. The FAA requires every new 737 certified after October 2027 to include the upgraded system, and existing MAX aircraft are expected to receive the update by October 2029.

The approval removes a regulatory obstacle to MAX 10 deliveries and production. Bank of America analyst Ronald J. Epstein reiterated a Buy rating and a $270 price target, saying the certification should support Boeing’s efforts to increase and stabilize 737 production and deliveries.
