Equinor signs five‑year Norwegian gas supply deal with Dutch utility Eneco

Equinor and Eneco have agreed to deliver about 9 TWh of natural gas each year, starting 1 October 2026, to the Dutch gas grid. The gas originates from the Norwegian continental shelf and is reported to emit 11.8 % less greenhouse‑gas over its lifecycle than the average Dutch grid gas, based on 2025 data. Under the contract Equinor will make verified emissions data available to Eneco via the digital platform run by Attributes SA. This is the third long‑term supply contract the two companies have signed in 2026.

Equinor adds another multi‑year revenue stream in Europe, while the lower‑emission profile may attract ESG‑focused investors. Eneco gains a reliable source of gas that supports its emissions‑reduction targets for residential and small‑business customers.
