Securitize partners with LG CNS to develop tokenized assets in South Korea

Securitize and South Korean technology firm LG CNS signed a memorandum of understanding on Oct. 6, 2026 to build tokenized‑asset products and digital‑asset infrastructure for Korean financial institutions. The collaboration will focus on market development, technology solutions and stablecoin and tokenized‑securities infrastructure, subject to Korean regulatory approval. The announcement sent Securitize’s shares up about 8% to roughly $12.60.

The partnership gives Securitize an early foothold in South Korea ahead of the country’s tokenized‑securities framework expected to take effect on Feb. 4, 2027, potentially expanding its addressable market. The stock rally reflects investor optimism about growth opportunities in the $40 billion real‑world asset tokenization market.
