Lockheed wins $694M hypersonic missile contract and plans Poland facility

Lockheed Martin secured a $694M U.S. Air Force award to produce the Air-Launched Rapid Response Weapon, a hypersonic missile for B-52 bombers. The company also plans a Patriot missile maintenance site in Poland and is expanding its Alabama ARRW plant by 47,000 square feet. Lockheed said the Alabama project carries a $67M commitment and forms part of an $8B-$9B munitions-capacity investment plan through 2030.

The contract moves ARRW production forward and expands Lockheed's planned maintenance presence in NATO's European missile-defense network. The Polish facility's financial contribution remains unquantified because Lockheed did not disclose its expected revenue or investment amount.
