Northrim and PBCO shareholders approve proposed bank acquisition

Northrim BanCorp and PBCO Financial said shareholders of both companies approved Northrim’s proposed acquisition of PBCO at meetings held on October 20, 2026. The transaction remains subject to regulatory clearance and other closing conditions. The companies are targeting completion on or about January 1, 2027.

The vote advances Northrim’s acquisition but does not ensure completion, since regulatory approvals and remaining closing conditions are still required. People’s Bank of Commerce CEO Julia Beattie said the combined organization expects to offer a broader product range while retaining local decision-making.

  • 1Both companies received the shareholder approvals required for the proposed transaction.
  • 2The parties expect to complete the deal on or about January 1, 2027, if the remaining conditions are satisfied or waived.
  • 3Northrim’s shareholders and PBCO’s shareholders voted at separate special meetings held on October 20, 2026.
  • 4Completion still depends on regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
