Marriott Vacations completes $460 million ABS securitization backed by $470 million of loans

Marriott Vacations Worldwide closed a $460 million asset‑backed securities transaction that issued three classes of notes at a blended interest rate of 5.91%. The securitization was supported by approximately $470 million of vacation ownership loans. Proceeds, after fees, will be used to repay outstanding credit‑facility obligations and for other general corporate purposes. The deal was executed in a challenging ABS market, according to CFO Jason Marino.

The financing improves the company’s liquidity and reduces its debt load, which may strengthen its balance sheet and support future growth initiatives. The company indicated that the proceeds will specifically pay down its credit facility, lowering interest expense.
