BlackRock’s crypto ETF assets rise 63% to $79.6 billion in Q3

BlackRock reported that its digital‑asset funds held $79.6 billion at the end of September, a 63% increase from the $48.8 billion recorded at the end of June. The growth came from $7.9 billion of net inflows and $22.9 billion of market gains. Despite the rebound, the portfolio is still 23% lower than the roughly $104 billion managed a year earlier. The firm earned $39 million in fees from its crypto products during the quarter.

The higher AUM and fee revenue improve BlackRock’s earnings outlook for its digital‑asset business, but the still‑significant gap to last‑year levels signals continued exposure to crypto price volatility.
