China opposes US telecom ban on restricting calls
The U.S. FCC plans to vote on November 19 to block China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom from directly accessing U.S. phone numbers, citing security threats and illegal robocalls. China opposes the move, accusing the U.S. of targeting its businesses. The FCC also aims to restrict Chinese equipment makers like Huawei and ZTE, and ban Chinese labs from U.S. product testing from 2028.
