Amcor (NYSE: AMCR, ASX: AMC) began expanding its flexible packaging facility in Dongguan, China, adding a 7,000 sq m manufacturing plant and automated warehouse. The campus will exceed 38,000 sq m, boosting capacity and supply-chain resilience. Automated solvent-free laminators and bag-making systems are planned, with construction expected to finish by July 2027.

Amcor (AMCR) said it will test seaweed-based, bio-derived coatings with U.K. startup Kelpi to improve barrier performance and recyclability in its AmFiber fiber packaging. The partnership supports Amcor’s sustainability and portfolio reshaping efforts alongside its ESE World sale. Simply Wall St cites forecasts of $23.9B revenue and $1.6B earnings by 2029.

Pfizer said CFO Dave Denton will leave on 15 August to take a consumer-goods role. Cecile Guegan will serve as interim CFO from 16 August while Pfizer searches for a permanent replacement. Amcor released consumer research on refill packaging in personal care, surveying 2,749 consumers in six European countries. It said 66% bought a refill pouch in the past 12 months, with pouches the dominant format. Amcor reported 86% expect refills to cost less and 81% prefer recyclable pouches. It also found 45% would buy more if refills were easier to find, and consumers cite mess/spills as barriers.

Amcor plc (AMCR), a $19B packaging company, has lagged the Dow: down 19.4% from its 52-week high ($50.94) and down 9.2% over 52 weeks versus the Dow’s 22.3% gain. After Q2 2026 results on May 6, shares rose 6.8% as revenue hit $5.9B and adjusted EPS was $0.96; full-year EPS guidance is $3.98–$4.03. Amcor said it has installed the first Moda rotary vacuum chamber sealing technology in Brazil at Barra Mansa Alimentos’ new deboning line. Amcor supplied its Moda Vac high-speed system, packaging materials, equipment and technical service. The three systems replaced up to nine belt chamber machines, and Barra Mansa reported immediate gains in production capacity, vacuum performance, consistency and process reliability.
