A genetic test tied to Alzheimer’s risk can now use urine, plasma or dried blood spots
Niki BioSolutions (NASDAQ: NIKI) announced that its subsidiary DiamiR Biosciences received NYSDOH CLEP approval to expand its APOE Genotyping test to include urine, plasma, and dried blood spots. The test, which identifies genetic variants linked to Alzheimer’s risk, was previously approved for blood, buccal swab, saliva, and tissue. The expansion allows for more accessible testing, including at-home or point-of-care sample collection, and supports integrated genetic and biomarker workflows.
