Eagle Nuclear Energy Corp. (NASDAQ: NUCL) said its Audit Committee, with Board approval, has hired CBIZ CPAs P.C. as its independent registered public accounting firm. The company linked the move to ongoing work on its Aurora Uranium Project and SMR initiative, including a pre-feasibility study expected in late 2027.

Concentrix (CNXC) reported $2.46B revenue (+1.9% YoY) in line, but missed next-quarter EPS guidance and slightly missed full-year revenue guidance; shares fell 1.2% to $24.92. CBIZ (CBZ) revenue was $682.2M, 2.3% below estimates, but EPS beat; shares rose 18.4% to $55.31. SS&C (SSNC) revenue was $1.70B (+10.3%), beating by 2.1%; shares rose 15.2% to $77.15.

Afreximbank approved a US$190 million financing package for Zimbabwe’s CBZ Bank, signed in El Alamein. It includes a US$150 million revolving trade finance facility, a US$20 million dual-tranche SME facility, and a US$20 million on-lending facility for power reliability. Afreximbank says it supports exporters, SMEs and energy projects.

Pitney Bowes (PBI) is considering strategic alternatives, including acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships, and a possible sale, as part of its long-term plan. Other deal items include Shell’s planned sale of its BG Cyprus unit to MOL for about $720 million, and acquisitions by Grant Thornton (CBIZ), Dentalcorp, and Sargento Foods. Deal terms were largely undisclosed.

Afreximbank finalized three financing facilities totaling US$190 million for Zimbabwe’s CBZ Bank to support trade, SMEs, and energy. The package includes a US$150 million revolving trade finance facility, a US$20 million dual-tranche SME facility, and a US$20 million dual-tranche energy on-lending arrangement linked to a US$210 million syndicated power facility. Drawdowns are expected in coming months.

But if not, private equity-owned Grant Thornton said Wednesday it has a deal in place to acquire fellow top 10 firm CBIZ for $5 billion, which if it goes through, will likely place Chicago-based Grant Thornton right behind the Big Four in the U.S. accounting firm revenue rankings. It’s the largest M&A deal in the accounting profession in more than 25 years.

Global markets were mixed as investors rotated out of AI-linked tech stocks in Asia, with South Korea’s Kospi continuing to fall, and oil prices fluctuating amid US-Iran tensions. On Zimbabwe’s ZSE, Dairibord Zimbabwe (DZL) rose 11.5% to 669.01 cents and First Mutual (FML) gained 10.35% to 334.71 cents. Mashonaland Holdings (MSHL) fell 7.63% to 258.64 cents.

Grant Thornton Advisors agreed to acquire US professional services firm CBIZ for $5bn in cash. CBIZ shareholders will receive $55 per share, and New Mountain Capital will add equity. The combined firm is projected to generate nearly $7.5bn revenue and operate in 20+ countries. CBIZ will be delisted from the NYSE and its Benefits and Insurance segment will be spun out.
