CHS assumes operations of Illinois grain terminal
CHS Inc., the largest farmer-owned cooperative in the U.S., is expanding its presence on the Mississippi River by assuming operations of a grain facility in Cahokia, Illinois, from COFCO International Ltd. This strategic move, effective January 31, 2026, will enhance CHS's supply chain capabilities, connect local growers, and bolster its U.S. Center Gulf export strategy. The facility offers year-round access to the St. Louis Harbor and direct connections to major railroads, optimizing grain and byproduct loading for domestic and international markets through the CHS export terminal in Louisiana.
