Chimera Investment Q2 Earnings Call Highlights
Chimera Investment (NYSE: CIM) reported Q2 cash and unencumbered assets of $656 million, down from $675 million in the prior quarter. Total leverage was 5.6-to-1 and recourse leverage 3.3-to-1, with $7.7 billion in consolidated secured financing. The firm shifted toward agency MBS, buying $967 million of agency pass-throughs and reducing legacy positions. HomeXpress funded a record $1.1 billion of loans and generated $11.8 million of EBITDA.
