Chinese polysilicon majors pledge to end loss-making sales
According to a released signature page, eight Chinese polysilicon producers, including Tongwei and GCL Technology, signed an Aug. 6 industry initiative in Shanghai to stop selling photovoltaic products below full cost. The move follows Beijing efforts to curb price competition across the solar supply chain, with the firms estimated to represent over 90% of China’s polysilicon output.
