US spot Ethereum ETFs saw $161M in outflows in one day, totaling $506.3M over five days, the highest since Jan. 23. BlackRock notes Bitcoin volatility has decreased to 35–40, attributing the decline to ETFs, options, and increased liquidity. Jay Jacobs, BlackRock's U.S. Head of Equity ETFs, discussed the firm's Bitcoin and Ethereum products, including IBIT, ETHA, and ETHB, and their role in traditional financial markets. BlackRock launched the iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB) on Nasdaq, its first crypto product with Ethereum staking. ETHB stakes 70-95% of its holdings, paying 82% of rewards to investors. The fund charges a 0.25% fee, temporarily reduced to 0.12% for the first $2.5B in assets. Coinbase is the primary custodian and staking provider. BlackRock filed an amended S-1 for a yield-generating Ethereum fund, ETHB, which will stake 70-95% of its holdings. The fund aims for ~3% annualized staking returns, with a 0.25% fee (0.12% for first $2.5B AUM). BlackRock and Coinbase Prime will take an 18% cut of staking rewards. The fund needs regulatory approval to launch.
