BlockBeats, citing Arkham data, reported Aug. 7 that Morgan Stanley added about 100 Bitcoin via its spot Bitcoin ETF MSBT. The purchase was valued at about $7.21 million, bringing MSBT’s holdings to 6,331 BTC. The position is currently valued at about $406 million.

According to Trader T data, US spot-bitcoin ETFs logged $211.5 million in net inflows on Aug. 5, extending a two-day inflow streak. BlackRock’s IBIT led with $170.35 million. Fidelity’s FBTC added $19.58 million, Ark Invest’s ARKB $9.17 million, Bitwise’s BITB $8.72 million, and Morgan Stanley’s MSBT $3.68 million. Other products had no net flows.

Morgan Stanley Investment Management listed two NYSE Arca ETPs, the Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust (MSSE) and Morgan Stanley Solana Trust (MSOL), tracking CoinDesk 4 p.m. NY benchmark prices. Both charge a 0.14% annual fee and pass through staking income. The move follows Morgan Stanley’s July E*TRADE spot crypto trading via Zero Hash and its April MSBT Bitcoin trust, which had over $381M AUM by July 16.

Morgan Stanley’s NYSE Arca-listed Bitcoin ETF, launched in April, has about $391 million in assets under management, after $33 million in net inflows on its first day. Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Eric Balchunas said it is among the most successful launches this year.
