After July PPI was flat month over month and CPI rose 0.1% with annual inflation cooling to 3.4%, software and data stocks rose as investors priced in a less aggressive Fed. Intuit (+0.8%), MongoDB (+3.5%), Cloudflare (+5.2%), Palantir (+2.4%), and The Trade Desk (+2.1%) moved higher. Cloudflare’s prior quarter included $696.1M revenue and $2.87B FY revenue guidance.

Benzinga reports Jim Cramer’s comments alongside recent earnings updates. Vistra missed Q2 revenue and EPS estimates but grew adjusted EBITDA and reaffirmed full-year outlook. Recursion Pharmaceuticals reported worse-than-expected Q2 results. NextEra Energy had mixed Q2 results and reaffirmed guidance. Huntington Ingalls beat Q2 results and raised FY26 sales guidance. Fastly’s Q2 EPS beat estimates. Shares moved modestly.

Cloudflare said on Aug. 4, 2026 it will launch Cloudflare Wallets and cloudflare.pay during Agents Week. The products would let AI agents hold stablecoins and pay for access at Cloudflare’s edge, with an optional identity handle for merchants. Handle reservation opened Aug. 4; payment features are described as coming soon, with earlier pay-per-crawl and Monetization Gateway efforts referenced.

Nebius Group (NASDAQ:NBIS) shares rose about 18% to $227.70 after its Q2 2026 results. The company reported revenue of $582.3 million, up 454% YoY, and said its AI cloud business drives 98% of sales, plus four deals totaling over $1 billion. CoreWeave (NASDAQ:CRWV) also jumped on Q2 results, while Cloudflare (NYSE:NET) was flat.

Cloudflare says demand is rising for its SASE and Zero Trust offerings as enterprises adopt AI securely, including securing AI agents. Management cites a UK government agency reevaluating a Zero Trust project with an agents-first approach. In Q2 2026, a Fortune 100 tech firm signed a $5.2M, three-year SASE contract. Zacks projects 2026 and 2027 revenue growth of 31.1% and 28.2%.

Cybersecurity stocks rose Monday despite broader market declines. Palo Alto Networks (PANW) gained about 6% and set a closing record, while CrowdStrike (CRWD) rose about 5%. Deutsche Bank cited AI innovation and named PANW its top pick. Analysts also pointed to AI-driven demand and recent hacking concerns tied to OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta (META).

Cloudflare reported Q2 revenue of $696.1M, up 36% YoY, above an estimated ~$665M, with adjusted EPS of 29 cents vs 27 cents expected. The company added 282 large customers, raised 2026 revenue guidance to $2.864B-$2.870B, and lifted adjusted EPS to $1.25-$1.26. Analysts at Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Jefferies and JPMorgan raised NET price targets after the results.

Ark Invest, led by Cathie Wood, bought Rocket Lab shares totaling 292,873 across ARKK, ARKQ and ARKX, valuing about $23.4M at a $80.01 close. It also bought 7,561 Cloudflare shares worth about $2.3M at $306.97. Rocket Lab reported a Q2 EPS loss of 8 cents and record $2.36B backlog; Cloudflare beat Q2 EPS and revenue and raised FY2026 outlook.

U.S. stocks edged lower as tech shares fell. The S&P 500 slipped less than 0.1%, the Nasdaq Composite fell 0.3%, and the Dow fell 0.1%. Intel dropped after announcing a $15 billion stock sale. Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon also moved. Oil rose on Iran-related Strait of Hormuz reopening conditions; CPI is due Wednesday.
