Mobile BESS provider Nomad begins life under new ownership with US DOE approval of Vermont pilot
Nomad, a mobile battery energy storage system (BESS) provider, received US$9.5M from the DOE for a Vermont project. The company, now under Lixte Biotechnology Holdings, trades on Nasdaq (NMAD). It reported a net loss of US$4.3M for H1 2026 and has substantial doubt about its ability to continue operations. The project aims to demonstrate grid resilience using transportable BESS.
