Tronox Namakwa Sands Restarts Furnace As Global Zircon Demand Grows
Tronox Holdings (NYSE) has restarted a furnace and plans to resume production at its Namakwa Sands mine in South Africa to meet growing zircon demand. The company cited strong long-term demand for zircon, used in ceramics, electronics, and other industries, as the reason for the restart. Tronox also highlighted its East OFS and Fairbreeze Expansion projects to secure future feedstock supply.
