West Virginia lawmakers questioned Todd Rumbaugh, cabinet secretary of the state Department of Transportation, about a DMV modernization contract. The project would move the DMV off an aging mainframe by Jan. 1, 2028. Rumbaugh said a $63.5 million winning bid was awarded but remains under review. Documents cited AstreaX (Michael Baker) and a lower $30 million bid from Tyler Technologies.

Tyler Technologies (NYSE:TYL) reported Q2 2026 results on an earnings call. Management cited 21.7% YoY SaaS revenue growth, record free cash flow, and share repurchases exceeding 5.5% of shares outstanding YTD. It added $11M from acquisitions, including For The Record ARR of $1.6M and a $10M annual ARR digital motor vehicle titling deal. Full-year margin guidance called for about 100 bps expansion at the midpoint.

Kirkwood City Council renewed a nearly $332,000 one-year contract with Tyler Technologies for its Enterprise Resource Planning system despite complaints about missing financial reports and a $15.6M deficit tied to an Electric Department overspending case. Council plans a forensic audit with proposals due Aug. 12. Tyler says Kirkwood has had no software issues preventing financial reporting.

Tyler Technologies said it will acquire CODY Systems, a public safety records management and law enforcement software provider, to expand its cloud public safety portfolio serving 15,000+ public sector organizations. Bridgepoint agreed to buy a majority stake in Lansweeper, whose platform covers 2B+ technology assets and serves 20,000+ customers, with a close expected by end-2026.

Tyler Technologies said it has completed its acquisition of CODY Systems, a public safety software provider. The deal gives Tyler rights to CODY’s Pathfinder RMS cloud records management software and COBRAnet data-sharing platform. Tyler expects the purchase to expand its small to midsize public safety technology footprint and improve interoperability and real-time data access.

CODY’s Pathfinder RMS and COBRAnet platforms will be integrated into Tyler products. CODY has 300+ clients in 10 states. Tyler reported Q2 revenue up 8.2% to $645.1 million and free cash flow up about 35% to $118.5 million.

Tyler Technologies (TYL) shares fell about 3% to $313.70 after its Q2 2026 results. Adjusted EPS was $3.08 vs $3.07 consensus, but revenue was $645.1 million vs about $648 million and adjusted EBITDA was $176.4 million vs $182.3 million. Piper Sandler cut its price target to $491 from $543.
