Wendy’s Jumps on Report That Nelson Peltz Wants to Take His Old Company Private
Wendy’s (WEN) shares rose up to 16% on Aug. 12 after Financial Times reported Nelson Peltz’s Trian Fund Management is preparing a proposal to take the company private. Reuters said Trian may form a co-investor consortium and a bid could come in weeks. The reports follow six quarters of declining same-store sales and Wendy’s pullback of its 2026 outlook.
