TotalEnergies signs 15‑year contract to supply 900,000 t of LNG per year to Jiangsu Guoxin Group

TotalEnergies will deliver 900,000 metric tons of liquefied natural gas each year to Jiangsu Guoxin Group’s new terminal in Rudong, China, beginning in 2028 and lasting for 15 years. The cargoes are intended for city‑gas distribution and flexible power generation in Jiangsu, the country’s second‑largest gas‑consuming province. The agreement was announced by TotalEnergies senior vice‑president Gregory Joffroy and Jiangsu Guoxin deputy general manager Zhang Wenxiang.

The contract expands TotalEnergies’ long‑term LNG sales portfolio in China, a key growth market, and provides the Chinese partner with a stable supply for its provincial energy security strategy. The deal also supports TotalEnergies’ goal of raising natural‑gas sales to roughly half of its total sales by 2030, as stated by the company.
