Alstom signs €460 million contract to supply additional driverless trains for Riyadh Metro

French rail equipment maker Alstom agreed to provide extra driverless metro trains for Riyadh’s Lines 3, 4 and 6. The contract, worth €460 million, was signed with the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) and includes integration and support services. The deal expands Alstom’s footprint in Saudi Arabia’s transport infrastructure.

The order adds €460 million of revenue to Alstom’s pipeline, strengthening its exposure to the fast‑growing Middle‑East rail market. The company expects the contract to boost its 2027‑2028 earnings, according to its own press release.
