Suncor Energy posts record Q3 2026 cash flow, raises dividend and buybacks

Suncor Energy reported third‑quarter 2026 adjusted funds from operations of C$6.7 billion and free funds flow of C$5.2 billion, the highest on record. The company increased its quarterly dividend by 10% to C$0.66 per share and lifted monthly share repurchases by 50% to C$750 million. It also announced an agreement to divest non‑core offshore assets, including Terra Nova and White Rose, for up to about C$1.2 billion.

The higher dividend and accelerated buybacks return more than C$2 billion to shareholders, enhancing yield and total return. The offshore asset sale will generate cash that can be used to reduce debt or fund growth, affecting the company’s balance sheet.
