Alico Maps Shift From Citrus to Florida Land Development at IDEAS Conference
Alico (ALCO) is shifting from citrus to Florida land development, with 75% of its 33,000 acres remaining agricultural. Management values assets at $650M-$750M, with market cap around $300M. The company has sold $90M of agricultural land in 18 months and expects $15M EBITDA this year. Alico plans a 9,000-unit community in Collier County, pending approvals. It has returned $209M to shareholders since 2015.
