Cabaletta Bio Inc.'s stock surged by roughly 32% after reporting early positive results from a small cell-therapy trial and announcing a $150 million stock sale that included Eli Lilly as an investor. Patients dosed with Cabaletta’s rese-cel manufactured on Cellares’ Cell Shuttle
Cellares announced that the first two patients have been dosed with Cabaletta Bio's investigational CAR T cell therapy, rese-cel, manufactured using Cellares' automated Cell Shuttle platform. This milestone demonstrates the feasibility of scalable, automated manufacturing for autologous cell therapies, aiming for high capacity, flexible supply, and reduced costs. Cabaletta Bio's CEO, Steven Nichtberger, highlighted this a significant achievement towards minimizing capital investment and lowering the cost of goods for their therapeutic programs.
