Equifax settles credit score error class action for $100 million
Plaintiffs Sarah Hunter, Maurice Moore and Michael Rodela asked a U.S. court to approve a $100 million class action settlement with Equifax Inc and Equifax Information Services LLC. The suit alleges a server coding error caused inaccurate credit scores and attributes reported to lenders and insurers between Mar 17 and Apr 8, 2022. Equifax denies wrongdoing; payments are estimated at $95 to $280 per class member.
