SK Telecom appointed Ericsson as sole global technology partner for its Hyper-AI Network Infrastructure Demonstration Project, a government-backed initiative led by Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Information Society Agency. The project will build and test an AI-based RAN pilot and demonstrate physical AI services through 2027, with Ericsson contributing AI-RAN and automation tech including EIAP and rApps, later applied at KG Mobility’s plant.

The company said Goldman Sachs executed purchases on its behalf, and it plans to propose cancellation of repurchased shares not used for incentive programs. Treasury stock totals 95,169,316 Class B shares.

Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (OM:ERIC B) said AT&T selected it to supply 600 MHz dual-band radios for AT&T’s newly acquired spectrum, and Ericsson also won a private LTE deployment with Tampa Electric Company. The article notes Ericsson shares fell 8.17% over 1 month and 11.77% over 3 months, while total shareholder returns were 37.67% (1 year) and 103.64% (3 years). It frames the stock as slightly undervalued versus a fair value of SEK98.62 versus SEK96.7 last close.

AT&T said it will deploy Ericsson dual-band 600MHz radios after closing its $23 billion EchoStar spectrum deal. The carrier gained about 30MHz of 3.45GHz midband and 20MHz of 600MHz lowband, with the lowband requiring new radios. AT&T expects improved capacity, reliability, coverage and uplink performance, using Ericsson 8RX uplink-enhancing tech.

Ericsson appointed Randeep Raina, a former Google India telco partnerships executive, as head of its customer unit for Vodafone Idea (Vi), reporting to Andres Vicente. Ericsson said it is expanding its role in Vi’s 4G and 5G modernization, including cloud-native platforms and AI network operations, after Vi deployed Ericsson’s cloud-native Charging platform.

AT&T said it selected Ericsson to supply 600 MHz dual-band radios to use spectrum AT&T acquired from EchoStar. The upgrade is intended to improve coverage and capacity, including indoor and rural areas, and AT&T cited performance gains such as up to 2x faster speeds and a 10% drop in dropped or blocked calls. AT&T expects related capex to be reflected in its 2Q 2026 outlook.

Tampa Electric (TECO) selected Ericsson to deploy its private LTE Mission Critical Network and chose OneLayer to provide SIM lifecycle management, device onboarding, and real-time visibility, with Burns & McDonnell handling integration and engineering. The network will expand to support tens of thousands of devices over five years, with several thousand in the initial phase.
