India passenger vehicle dispatches rose about 33% in July to an estimated 4.7 lakh units, according to industry estimates and Maruti Suzuki. Maruti Suzuki reported 1,96,203 domestic PV sales (+43.4%). Hyundai Motor India posted 54,210 (+23.3%). Tata Motors PV sales rose 58% to 62,611, and Mahindra & Mahindra rose 20% to 60,048. Growth was attributed to GST 2.0, repo cuts and income tax relief.

July 2026 passenger-vehicle sales in India rose year-on-year for multiple automakers. Tata Motors sold 63,760 PVs (+59% YoY) and 15,217 EVs (+114%). Mahindra sold 1,03,860 total (+26%) and Hyundai Motor India 75,360 (+25.4%). Kia sold 28,200 (+27.4%) and Nissan domestic wholesales jumped 218% to 4,518.

Several stocks reported hitting 52-week highs. Brookfield Infrastructure Partners reached $59.40, citing AI-driven electricity demand growth. Corby Spirit and Wine hit $16.66 and will report Aug. 26. Gibson Energy hit $32.61 on record infrastructure adjusted EBITDA of $169 million. Magna rose to $97.50 after an 800-volt eDrive award with Chery.

MG Motor Pakistan launched the all-new MG ZS SUV in Pakistan with two Hybrid+ variants and one gasoline model. Hybrid+ variants are rated at 158 kW and 465 Nm with a claimed range up to 940 km. The gasoline variant delivers 80 kW and 142 Nm with an 8-speed CVT. Prices: Rs 6.599m to Rs 7.499m; bookings open at Rs 1.2m.

MG Motor Pakistan launched the second-generation MG ZS in Pakistan, offering three variants with limited-time ex-factory introductory prices: ZS Vibe at Rs. 6,599,000, ZS Hybrid+ Excite at Rs. 7,099,000, and ZS Hybrid+ Essence at Rs. 7,499,000. The model features a redesigned exterior, updated infotainment and safety, and MG’s Hybrid+ self-charging powertrain, combining a 1.5L petrol engine and electric motor.

Magna International (MG-T) shares have more than doubled from a 15-month low as investors weigh risks from U.S. tariffs on Canadian exports. The article cites 50% tariffs on about US$20B of exports and Magna’s Q1 results: revenue +3%, margins 5.4% vs 3.5%, adjusted EPS +77%. Magna reports next on July 31; valuation rose to P/E 10 in 2026.

Autotrader data for July to date shows five Chinese-brand models in the top 10 for new-car enquiries, led by MG. MG’s MGS9 has a 5.8% enquiry share, followed by MG HS (3.5%) and Jaecoo 7 (3.0%). At brand level, MG leads with 13.3% versus BMW 10.2% and Audi 7.9%. SMMT says Chinese brands sold 175,000 of 1.13m new cars in H1 2026, up 121% YoY.
