Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) released first images of its Great Tides Waterpark at Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, opening Sept. 4, 2026. The nearly six-acre, family and thrill-focused park includes attractions such as an immersive tunnel, a four-person body slide, cliff jumps, and dining venues. A new two-berth pier is operational, and day passes are available for visits starting September.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) plans to retire five ships from its fleet through 2028, including the Sirena sold to an undisclosed buyer. According to Cruise Industry News’ Cruise Ship Secondhand Market Report, ships leaving include Oceania’s Regatta (Aug 2026), Norwegian Sky (Sep 2026), Norwegian Sun (Sep 2027), and Regent’s Seven Seas Navigator (Dec 2027).

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings said it agreed to sell Oceania Sirena. The sale is expected to close in the three months ended Sept. 30, 2026, but the ship will keep operating for Oceania through spring 2028 under a bareboat charter. The company is optimizing its fleet, including bareboat charters for Norwegian Sky, Norwegian Sun, and Regent’s Seven Seas Navigator.
