US Interior Department begins review of Odyssey Marine’s offshore lease request
The U.S. Department of Interior has initiated a formal review process for Odyssey Marine Exploration Inc.’s request for a potential marine mineral lease offshore Virginia. The proposed lease area is believed to contain valuable heavy mineral sands, and initial activities would focus on environmental and geological data collection. Odyssey is collaborating with Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation for the project.
